Hi ,
My MIL has been suffering from dementia since last 15yrs. Over a period of years we have seen her suffering.... She was still manageable till 2016 and she lost her son and from then onwards started her downhill. She is have a catheter and rice tube. She stopped communicating since 3 month. Only few words or a word and then only nodding. She has on and off UTI. And was treated with antibiotics. She had symptoms of twitching. And rigour's on and off. Her sodium levels were very low, and was unresponsive. She is hospitalised and was in iccu and now back in the room. Her sodium levels are 125but still unresponsive. Her left kidney has shrunk further. Due to low sodium levels the doctors have withheld her dementia medicines. She is on antibiotics but unresponsive and had swelling in both her hands. Please guide what more can we as own people do to comfort her.
Thankyou
