Encouraging to drink

My mum's Alzheimer's is getting worse and we are struggling to get her drinking enough. Dr is aware but just says keep encouraging her which we do. How do other people manage this problem.

Supply her with a constant stream of drinks. Don't ask, just put in front of her and sit with her until she drinks. Seek out food with high water content like cucumbers and watermelons. Give her lots of soup. Ice cream is good too.

Also try having a drink with her. Sometimes the social element helps.
