Door alarm

Can anyone recommend an alarm for a front door which is double glazed? Can't have the magnetic type as it wouldn't fit. I have searched on the internet but would be grateful for a recommendation. Dad found the key to the front door last night and opened it without my mum hearing a thing. He denies it was him, but it has to have been . Thank goodness he hates being cold so didn't go out, but it could happen. Thanks

The only alarm I can think of is a pressure mat that when stepped on sounds an alarm

No experience or need for alarms, just y thoughts

Is the problem because the door does not close flush with the frame?

If so, using double sided tape or glue, you could fasten a spacer to the frame and then fit the smaller part of the alarm to this spacer.

Something like this should do the job.
