Does anybody else do this

I noticed today that when I was talking to dad facing him directly ,he was replying to me. But was actually looking towards the door so he wasn’t looking at me..Really weird.Later on he replied to another question looking at me...

How strange @TNJJ. My dad used to look at me and tell me off for moaning when it wasn't me moaning but someone on the other side of the room...
