Doing Dementia Design is a national conference taking place in Liverpool on 14/15 September 2017.
It will explore how the design of all kinds of places and spaces, indoors and outdoors, can either include or exclude people with dementia. It will look at the problems and how they can be addressed, with speakers from various professions as well as members the local service users group SURF.
Anyone involved or with an interest in the design, commissioning, construction or regulation of the built environment will find the conference useful. We hope it will help to raise awareness and change policies and practices to develop more dementia-inclusive homes and communities.
The conference is organised by Liverpool Dementia Action Alliance with support from Alzheimer's Society, Liverpool John Moores University, Kier Construction and Mersey Care NHS Trust. Visit our website doingdementiadesign.com for full details.
