Deputyship- small purchases/cash

How detailed are the annual deputyship reports? Will I need record of food purchases etc? Can cash be withdrawn and left available to cover day to day small purchases meals, bread, milk, flowers, socks etc?? I may struggle to buy in bulk and lots of people help out with popping to the shop! I'm conserved about the legistics of keeping so many receipts for small purchases.
