My mother is self-funding and is elagble for basic national health dentures at £ 91 for a bottom set.
The EMI home where she is living have lost three sets of dentures recently on separate occasions. The home says it is her fault, and refuses to pay for the lost dentures. I feel this is unfair, what do you think?

Having said that, that the local dentist pricing authority was kind in that they allowed a new set of dentures to be provided at the NHS rate in a period of less than five months which is the time you can have a set of dentures at the basic NHS rate, other wise a private cost of several hundred pounds would have had to be made!
