Dementia is being talked about a lot today

with the death of Sir Terry Pratchett.

I am a huge fan of his, and he did a LOT to bring dementia out into the open and discuss it sensibly.

I was at the Discworld convention last year and although he wasn't there in person there was a live video feed and he was very obviously struggling then. So sad he's died and there's not going to be any more Discworld, but pleased he's no longer suffering what he referred to as "the em******ence".

This is very sad news and at such a young age too.

It's good that he did so much to make people aware of dementia...there must be a cure around the corner and he has certainly made his mark in trying to bring this about.

He has left a legacy with his writings and also his fight against this cruel disease.

Sincere condolences to his wife and daughter, family and friends.
