I would say in itself that talking to oneself in the mirror is not necessarily an indication that a person is at the advanced stage.

My mum used to be in an EMI care home. The lift had a mirror at the back of it which we always thought was strange and must have been confusing for the residents. :confused:

I would agree that in itself this trait is not necessarily an indication of advanced Alzheimers but you will understand there are many other things which my dad does which lead us to think he is such.

These include urinating outside, being agressive to my mother (his carer) and not recognising family.
