There`s a `nice` little item in this morning`s paper, by Ann Widdecombe, about recent reports that scientists may have found a `real` cure for Alzheimers.

She hopes that by the time the cure becomes available, NICE no longer exists, otherwise only the rich will benefit and stay
sane [UNQUOTE] and the poor will continue to live in the world of Alzheimers.

What is upsetting about the item is her use of the word `sane` with reference to the rich receiving benefit from the new cure.

Nice sentiment, shame about the language.

I would have expected better.

I agree. I think the lady now sees herself as a "personality", and above contradiction.
