Dad just sleeps all the time

He lives with us , is this common? He's not violent in any way , has problems with his toileting and we have to help him to eat but apart from that his main problem is mobility ......or should I say lack of it

I do not know if it is common, but it is a kind and gentle version of the illness.

My Mum lives with us, (has vascular dementia) she's 89 and sleeps an increasing amount of each day (today I think she will have been awake for about 5 hours). But she isn't on much medication, she eats well, potters a little helping me make supper and is currently sorting socks into pairs. She is not very mobile, her hearing and eyesight are poor but says she's happy here. Long may it last like this for her and for your Dad. All the best Sue
