Coronavirus and visiting carers

I look after my mother who is 81 and bedbound she has carers that visit 4 visits x 2 carers on each occasionfor personal care,I run the house and feed mum,I'm wondering what's going to happen if my mother shows symptoms,how can the carers visit then,and me being a male would I be allowed to give personal care,or will the powers that be say no you can't as you're a male! That's utter madness I did everything for my mum before her care plan was put in place.

Many, many of us female carers give personal care to male spouses and fathers.

I used to give personal care to my dad in an emergency and his carers never suggested that it wasn’t allowed.
