COP - attending court

Hi, I'm just wondering what the likelihood is of having to go to court?
My cousin and my sister were going to apply to be joint and several deputies, but my sister is afraid that she wouldn't be able to get the time off to attend court.
(We also don't know where we would have to go)

I'm just filling in the forms now. They seem reasonably easy. I rang the court a few days ago and they were really helpful. Do you think we're doing the right thing not using a solicitor?

In most situations you will not have to go to court. The primary exception would be if someone disputed your application.
