Conditions that mimic dementia -what to rule out in a blood test

Hello,
Based on forum members' advice (thank you!), I think I am going to contact my mum's GP with my concerns. I imagine one of their first moves would be to send her for a blood test - so my question is, what will they be looking for? I know Vit B12 is one...
Recently she has been asked to get a blood test before an upcoming bone scan, but her area is buckling under the strain of recent events and patients are being sent to really awkward places. I'm going to see if it's possible for her to get one near me (???) or privately (probably too expensive!!!), so I'd like to know what to ask for.

Im not from the UK, but with both my parents having dementia, these are my thoughts.

Vit B6
Vit B12
Folate
Full Thyroid panel
Vit D
Iron

GP will more than likely test just half of these.
