colour?

not sure Ive posted this in the correct place....its not exactly equipment but.....
does anyone know if there is an advised use of colour for Nursing Homes that might reduce agitation, thats calming, or successfully stimulating in the right way. Has any research been done on it?
Like, what colour should be used on walls carpet etc in a corridor and lounge for those with deteriorating dementias?

I know that blue is not advised for dementia sufferers apparantly as it can cause agitation. (No wonder I don't sleep well!) The NH my husband was in had to redecorate a lovely blue corridor because of this.
Red is a color advised for toilet seats as it can be more obvious and black or very dark colours can look like a space or hole.

I've heard about food on red plates being more visible than on white ones but on the whole I don't think the colour matters that much as long as you don't have every wall or carpet in the same colour and avoid busy patterns.
