CHC or no CHC?

My Mothers is at end stage dementia and her condition had deteriorated to such an extent that an emergency best interest meeting was put in place and DNRs completed. I asked about CHC funding and her GP looked puzzled and told me to speak to the CCG. I contacted the CCG and they told me they arent doing assessments due to covid but her GP could progress it. They were quick to make sure my Mother isnt resuscitated but not interested in making sure her care is funded correctly.

It seems that the CCG were referring to the Fast Track CHC assessment which can be undertaken by the GP. Although standard CHC assessments have been suspended due to covid 19 the fast track assessment process can still be used and it could be that the GP isn't aware of this.
