CHC funding question

After my Mum's 3 month CHC review we were told she now qualifies for CHC funding (we're still appealing the original decision). From reading various stuff on the web I believed CHC payments couldn't be capped and weren't means tested. I haven't had the assessor's letter yet but I have a letter from the nursing home confirming they are to receive £1018.96 and that my contribution will be advised by Social Services based on a financial assessment.

Can you assist?

No, CHC shouldn't need to be topped up.
You dont have to contribute anything anyway- you dont have a financial assessment- its not your funds!!

ordinarily Mum might have a financial assessment to asses her contribution to her own care
.
Not sure that the nursing home know what they are doing!

the only thing you will prob have to pay extra for are things such as hairdresser/Chiropodist ect-

Thank you. I'll wait for the NHS letter and if they say the same as the care home challenge it. This is never ending....
