I recently started attending a course of Carer Information Sessions run by the Society and must say how informative they are. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone else who has the opportunity to go :).

I'd be interested in attending, how do you find out about them please?

I recently started having the home support services from the Society for 3 hours per week and they asked me then if I would be interested in attending the next batch of meetings. They run for 6 weeks and cover all different aspects with expert speakers too. I would contact your local branch of Alzheimer's Society and put your name down :).

Yes I believe that's it:). Just looked up my literature and its titled Carer Information Sessions Programme. A group of people start and finish the course together. The course I attend covers;
What is dementia, Social Services and benefits, Behaviour and stress management, drugs therapy, Local health services, OT services and projects.
