Currently my mother, who has MCI and is semi-independent, has a Doro but she keeps switching it off. This is a lifetime habit as both her and my late father insisted on switching off their phones unless they were wanting to use them. She carries an sos tracker and this offers the obvious peace of mind if she is out and about and I can also speak to her over it but anyone around her can hear so she tends to bury it in her handbag out of embarrassment. I need a phone that’s simple but with an obscure ‘off’ button and a long battery life so I can just leave it in her handbag. Anybody have any ideas please?

Why not just physically disable the off button on the Doro. I am sure if you took the phone to a repair shop they should be able to disable the button so that it is always turned on.
