my husband (Alzheimers) has been in a Care home for a month. He is not aggressive but is still active and likes walking about within the home. I have been able to take him out for walks and in the car. I have just had a phone call from Social Services who did an assessment last week. They tell me that they are looking for a more secure place for him and mentioned he has a DOLS in place. This is the first I have heard about a change although I was at the assessment with him. All the other residents seem to stay in their rooms so he is not able to interact with anyone. I go in to see him every day because of this. My question is can I still take him out for walks with me and little trips in the car?
