Hi everyone,

We've had the below request from the Research team :)

We are looking for people who help to care for a person with dementia - whether they are a primary carer or someone who often helps out a grandparent, close friend or neighbour. If this applies to you, you might be able to help Alzheimer’s Society improve support for people just like you.

We want to know whether online support can help those who provide care for someone with dementia to cope with feelings such as stress, anxiety or depression. We’re looking for volunteers to help us test one of three specially tailored packages of support delivered via the internet in your own home. You do not have to live in the same place as the person with dementia.

Taking part in the study involves completing 20 online support sessions, each one lasting 20 minutes, at your own pace over a 6 month period. You will need access to a PC or Windows laptop and an internet connection. You will also need to complete some questionnaires at the start to find out if you are eligible to take part.

If you have any questions about the study, you can email caringformeandyou@alzheimers.org.uk
