hi stayed at barbara last night when mam passed away/ i come home and can not sleep keep seeimg mam in her room at care home. what can i do

I know how you feel, dog tired, but just cannot sleep. I stayed with my mum from Friday morning until she died at 6:00am on Sunday morning at the nursing home. I have been trying to replace those final images with thoughts of mum pre AD, its not working, so I have no words of wisdom for you honey, I just wanted to share with you, you are not on your own. Until today I have been busy with arrangements for her funeral, and I thought I was doing OK until today, now I have come crashing down to earth. I share you pain and heartache, my only comforting thought is that mum is suffering no more, and she is with my beloved dad. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight, Im going to give it my best shot, with maybe a drink or three!!

Dear Lord,
there's someone special
whose heart
must be consoled,
Someone who's lost a dear one
and needs Your hand to hold-
So please, Lord, take the sadness
and put there in it's place
The comfort of Your gift of hope,
the strength of Your own grace,
And bless this person with Your peace,
with reassurance, too,
That You walk close beside the one
who needs to lean on YOU.
