    Osborne's £6billion a year increase for the NHS: Chancellor unveils extra cash to deliver 'world-class treatment' as Cameron pledges £150m for centre to fight dementia
    NHS boost will take budget past half a trillion pounds over next five years
    Chancellor says it is 'biggest ever commitment to NHS since its creation'
    It will allow extra 2m diagnostic tests and 5.5m outpatient appointments
    Separately PM will pledge money to national Dementia Research Institute

    In a separate announcement, David Cameron will today pledge £150million to help fight dementia.
    Britain’s first national Dementia Research Institute will open by 2020, tasked with developing diagnostic tests to stop conditions such as Alzheimer’s before they strike, and treatments to tackle the disease’s progression.
