Mum has been in hospital was a severe UTi and is a lot weaker in her limbs now. The hospital say she has to be reassessed for chc and her care home are to reassess to see if they can still meet her needs. What will happen if they can't x do I have to move her as that will affect her dementia won't it .

The key issue is whether the care home your Mum is in is capable of meeting her health needs when she gets back from hospital. If they're not able to then you'll probably have to move your Mum to somewhere that can, regardless of the decision about whether she's entitled to have her care paid for under CHC.

Is your Mum receiving CHC at present?
