Siblings can be horrible! I have two children, my brother and his wife have no family. When my kids were born, my parents set up savings plans for them - 3 each! - that matured when they were 16, 18 and 21 years old. Very generous and much appreciated by my children at the time. However, my brother thinks this is unfair and that I have had more money than him over the years. Although mum's will is 50/50 for both of us, he thinks he should get a larger share because of the money my parents spent on my kids. What a charmer he is!
I should add that mum deliberately did things this way rather than including my children in her will to avoid arguments!
