Support for carers of dementia sufferers should be discussed and debated at high levels. There are lots of people who are caring for their loved one and donot know where to get help from because they are either ignorant of services available to them or they feel guilty to ask for help. I read a very moving book written by a woman who nursed and cared for her mother who developed dementia in an african country. This woman though a professional in the Western World experienced dire difficulties as a result she wrote a book (ME and MY MUM) ISBN 978-1-4669-4393 which details her everyday interactions with her mother. This book is so moving and must be read by others caring for their beloved ones.
