It`s interesting FTD is now seen as a `common` form of dementia. There was a time in my memory when it was hardly diagnosed.

It does show we have moved on.

Interesting read lets hope it comes to fruition. If it could make diagnosis cheaper and easier that would be good. Although it doesn't diagnose every type it would be a good simple starting point and for some people would maybe do away with need for ct scan. Probably be a lot easier to convince a reluctant patient to have a blood test rather than a scan too. Mum had a few blood tests when she first went to gp so if it could be added to that then it would be good.
I wonder if recognising those proteins could eventually lead to a way to lower them or treat them, wouldn't that be nice.
I hope they can continue working on it and it comes off X
