Warnings on the other thread to be sure images are not copyrighted, how does one know? Google seems to just say it may be subject to copyright. I don;t want to find myself arrested!!!:confused:

Hi Saffie,:)
I was always taught to assume it is copyrighted, that way you can't get in trouble.

Most private web sites probably wouldn't mind you downloading for your own use.
The trouble starts when you then post it on the internet without asking first.

Googling

Free photos
Free images
Free stock pictures
Royalty free images

Should bring up quite a few web sites with images free of copyright.

Best of luck.
Geum.

Just testing to see if you can use all the myspace images and comments on here. Seems as though you can...

Looks as though this works on here too.

If you'd like me to show how this was done then let me know and I'll try and post instructions.

For Glitter Comments and Images

OK here goes:

For posting comments (like the congratulations one) you can google for glitter images or glitter text or glitter comments... to get you started, here are a couple of sites that I use...

http://www.commentsheaven.com/

http://www.goodlightscraps.com/hi-hello.php

1. You scroll through until you find the comment that you want.

2. Each comment will have a Code either under it or it will have a button saying get code.

3. You copy that code and you paste it into your reply window on TP.

4. It will look something like this:

<center><br><a href="http://www.goodlightscraps.com/hi-hello.php" title="hi/hello scraps graphics"><img src="http://www.isanam.com/scraps/hi-hello/hi-hello-4.gif" alt="Hi Hello comments and glitter graphics for orkut myspace" border="0" /></a><br><a href="http://www.goodlightscraps.com">Scraps and Graphics</a></center>

5. Don't panic!

6. Look for the letters src=" You delete everything up to and including the "

7. Then you look along what looks then like a website address with another " after it. You delete the " and everything after to the end of your cut and paste.

8. In this example you are then left with: http://www.isanam.com/scraps/hi-hello/hi-hello-4.gif

9. You then treat this as an image. You hit the image button at the top - It asks you to insert the URL - you copy and paste the link you've created at 8 above and hit ok. Just make sure you don't end up with 2 http bits in the link as http is already on the pop up screen.

10. You will then end up with the link at number 8 inside the usual
url]

11. Hit preview and your chosen comment should be there for you.

12. Good luck!

Glitter Text - much easer

You use this site to make your glitter message:

http://www.commenthaven.com/glitter-text-generator/

4 Easy steps on the site.

1. you type in your message that you want.
2. you select the font that you want
3. you select the glitter that you want

There is a preview box at the bottom that shows how your glitter text will look when posted.

When you are happy.

4. Step 4 you hit get code. 3 boxes come up with codes in them. You copy and paste the code that is in the right hand box into your reply on TP (no need to do the image stuff as it is already done for you in the code on the right hand box!!).

5. Hit Preview Post - check all is fine then submit your reply !

Handy Tip - you can use this for creating your signature !

Hello
I have search here to find instructions about how to upload pictures from your own computer. I just managed it with the old system, but now the system is changed I don't get a browse button when I click on insert attachment.

I was trying to upload a photo of my carers alert card, which I have saved in my pictures, but can't even get that folder up. Any help please. Thank you/

still not succeeding

Here I am again needing help. I have followed the instructions but just cannot upload anything. Is there anyone using Vista who can talk me through how to do it. I click on the pin, then add files then find my file and select file I upload and it asks me to click and drag but the picture is not there to drag the description is and it looks like it is uploading but nothing to see nor to drag. What happens here how can I get the picture in the box where step one is to be able to drag in down to step 2? It difficult to explain but anyone with Vista should hopefully be able to follow me. Help please I am so frustrated. Thanks.
