bed time !

hi,everyone,looks like it's been 12 months since i've been here
mom has been in a home for 3 yrs now,now she is in the nursing part. and not out of bed for nearly 2 months,they tell me she comes out/they get her out for meals,but not up ino the lounge with others ,is this normal towards the end ?

Welcome back and it's good that you are here again.
So sorry that your mum isn't able to socialise at the moment and she is spending more and more time in bed.

I don`t know dave because everyone is different. But I do know sufferers lose stamina and mobility towards the end of their lives so are probably more comfortaable in bed.

If you have any doubt, it would be worth discussing this with the Manager/ess. One would assume there must be some reason that your mum is got up out of the bed for meals but then eats separate from the other residents!! It is worth checking for your own peace of mind.
