Today - Wednesday 5 June - BBC One will air the second episode of Panorama's Crisis in Care documentary. Are you planning on watching it?

In last week’s episode, we learned about Rachel and her mum Barbara, who has extremely challenging dementia. Their story depicted the negative impact to their wellbeing following council cuts to respite care support. As our Fix Dementia Care campaign highlights, these are stories we hear all too often up and down the country.

Episode 2, Who Pays, will be aired at 9pm this evening. It features people who are currently struggling to navigate the NHS funding system for social care and shows the financial battles they are faced with to get the support they need. From selling family homes to closures of care homes, we see how people with dementia are being let down time and time again by a broken care system.

We know that people with dementia and their families are being let down day after day by a broken care system - a system that fails to look after them as individuals. The social care crisis is a dementia crisis, and we need a Dementia Fund.

We are standing up for people who need better care. Will you stand with us?
