Question really: My 90 year old mother has Dementia, and is in care. I have been acting as Appointee and looking after her finances ( no POA was set up). The question is, how does one access her bank account as she is now incapable of any signature.

You have full access to the BF57 account for all DWP income, for any other accounts an application for a COP deputyship will have to be made.

If it is only signing that is the problem and she still has capacity she can still grant an LPA
