My Mum is self-financing in the home that' she's now been in for 3 weeks. As she'd been in hospital for 5 months before that, her Attendance Allowance had been stopped. As I notified them she was moving into a home, they've started payments again by direct payment into her account (she refused to apply for it, but with a little hlp from the CPN ....).

But .. I seem to recall being advised at some point that, in a home, she should get the higher rate. As far as I can tell from the notification of payment received today, she's still getting the middle band ate (about £40 pw).

Am I right or wrong?
