Are the powers that be performing more wizardry on this website? I am getting 'blocked content notice' again.

I'm getting the "only secure content is displayed" message, that never normally happens, started sometime between 3pm and 6.30pm today. I've looked for but can't find where to report this.

Hi there Tin,

We updated Talking Point earlier to improve security and it looks like there is a minor issue. I'll flag this and aim to get it fixed as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Serena

Kevin when I'm in doubt I just press the report button. That brings the post to the attention of all mods and admin.

The site has reverted to https protocol again instead of http.

Unfortunately they have left some http script(s) which your browser is blocking, if you allow them you are no worse of than the whole site being http.

It's not blocking for me because of my settings.

Mornings would be a better time to implement changes.

I'm busy with something else but if I get a chance I'll find and post the errant script(s), it's probably a/some script(s) in both http and https.

Just to add for when the techies get on the case the little symbol that tells me when I have posted on a thread has gone too so I can't see if I've posted or not.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for letting us know that there was an issue. As nitram pointed out it was an issue relating to the switch to https - and should now be resolved.

If you're still experiencing issues, I'd recommend closing your browser and re-logging in. If that doesn't work, please flag the issue here or email us at talkingpoint@alzheimers.org.uk

Thanks,

Im still getting the "invalid redirect URL" notification when I try and log in. It is OK when I then click on "recent posts", but its a bit annoying.

Me too and I have no idea what it means, but not getting 'blocked content' anymore.

"I'm getting the same when I first log in."

Just ignore it, you get logged on but don't get the 'thank you for logging on' message.
It's just the way the log on cookie is being recorded.

EDIT

It appears to have been fixed.

EDIT2

No it isn't.
Last night I used up my 5 attempts at log on playing around and got thrown off for 15 minutes.
This morning it was OK, no redirect message.
However it did not set the 'remember me' cookie and on attempting log on I got the redirect message.

You can get rid off "invalid redirect URL" when logging on, get the 'thank you for logging on page' and also get the 'remember me' cookie set by manually changing the log on URL to https://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/forum.php.

EDIT
When you close the browser and then open TP again it asks you to log on or register, don't worry once you start viewing posts it reverts to normal.

Thanks nitram - that's really helpful.

We're working on getting the invalid redirect URL issue fixed as soon as possible.

Another odd thing - in my tablet and phone it now says app not correctly installed - xhtml or something similar and trying via website it brings up a window to install the app! But when I closed the window with the x it took me to the website.

Had used both earlier with no problem (Android)

Posting in case useful for the techies ☺

Hi Celia,

Thanks for letting us know. We're in the process of updating the app at the moment and I'm about to post an announcement about this. Normal service should be resumed soon. :)

Thanks,

I can't get on the app at all since earlier today! When I try, a message comes up, but it disappears before I can read it all. Something about tapatalk plug-in file was not installed or updated - but it's gone before I can get the rest.

I've also had problems getting on to the app....something about Tapatalk not being fully installed. As I don't use Tapatalk I deleted it, switched off and on again and it still won't let me on!
