Following the success of its weekend opening, the National Dementia Helpline has just begun piloting a 6 month evening opening. The helpline is now open from 5pm-8pm from Mondays to Wednesdays.

In the helpline’s annual user-feedback survey for 2014, 22% of people said that they would like the helpline’s opening hours to be extended into the evenings. We hope that this will allow more people to be able to contact the Helpline.

These extended opening hours will also allow the Helpline to return calls, and there are also plans to pilot the Helpline’s Live Online Advice service in the evenings.

The Helpline number is 0300 222 1122 and you can read more about the service and its opening hours, here.
