As promised, here are some links to Alzheimer's Society campaigning resources that may be helpful to TP members. I’ve asked our External Affairs team if they can review and add to this list, and I will update it as appropriate.

Get involved with Alzheimer's Society campaigns:

The Campaigns home page on Alzheimer’s Society’s website explains more about our current campaigns and how you can get involved. Specific campaigns include:

Alzheimer’s Society Access to drugs campaign

Alzheimer’s Society campaign for more investment in dementia research

Alzheimer’s Society Putting Care Right campaign

Alzheimer's Society Campaigners' Network:

You may wish to join Alzheimer’s Society Campaigners’ Network, to receive regular updates on our campaigns and details of easy ways to get involved.

Talking Point members can also find out more about local campaigning activity by contacting the main Campaigners’ Network at campaignersnetwork@alzheimers.org.uk.

Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Watch:

Alzheimer’s Society has recently launched Dementia Watch – our tool for monitoring and assessing service cuts. We would like to hear from you so we can keep a record of which services are being cut, and where. This will help us build a better understanding of the impact of the cuts.

The best way to report a cut is to email dementiawatch@alzheimers.org.uk or call 020 7423 5128. Please provide as much information as possible, but the minimum we need is the area you live in, the exact service being threatened and its location. Your information is vital in helping us build a picture of the scale of the cuts and will help us to decide where we should use our limited campaigning resource.
