Having problems with the above, Have been given Lorazepan tablets to help control these awful sessions. Anyone had these tablets to help calm things down.

Yes, they can help, if used occasionally. Lorazepam is addictive, so you have to be careful. There are other drugs, anti-psychotics, which can be used. The major point in all medications is to monitor them carefully.

My mother was violent, aggressive and agitated for a long time. She was on anti-psychotics for years. We gradually weaned her off them once the disease had progressed so far that she was no longer agitated.

My mum is on Lorazepam 1/2 tab four times a day and has been for quite a while without problems; they seem to keep her calm. She is also on Rispiridone.

Hello ronyork, my hubby is on Memantine, and Sertraline for aggression, it seems to be working, both are addictive, but hubby is late stages of Alzheimers, so l need to keep him calm.
