Hi,
I wondered if anyone may be able to help me or point me in the right direction.
My mum is increasingly asking for her mother and asking when she will be going home. She is becoming so tearful as it happens a number of times throughout the day.
What is the best way to reply to her, to keep her calm? Or other tips?
All advice gratefully received.

Hullo and welcome @Blackbird Singing. That is sadly a common theme on here. I think usually it's more of a desire for a place and a time of security. My partner has phases where she worries about her mother or pines for her childhood home. It is heartbreaking to see and hear. A few love lies like "she will be home soon" or "she's busy working in Germany at the moment" (C's form Germany) sometimes help to calm her until she forgets again. https://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/threads/compassionate-communication-with-the-memory-impaired.30801/ should give you better ideas that my tired brain can manage.
