Hi my husband is getting very aggressive dont know how to deal with it ?
Hello @buddy 18, I have just signed back in and seen your posts. If your husband is getting aggressive it's important to maintain your own safety. Do you have a room with a lockable door and an escape route such as a ground floor window? If so, retreat to that location if you need to and have a mobile with you to summon help such as the police if required. You do not have to put yourself at risk of harm and any police involvement will be recorded by them and that record may become useful in getting additional help from SS in the future. Just retreating like that for a while may be enough for your husband to settle.
Do use the Helpline if you feel it would help to get one to one advice, the details are:-
National Dementia Helpline
0300 222 11 22
Our helpline advisers are here for you.

Helpline opening hours:
Monday to Wednesday 9am – 8pm
Thursday and Friday 9am – 5pm
Saturday and Sunday 10am – 4pm

Finally, discussing this behaviour with the GP may prompt a helpful change of medication.

If you put a post like this in a separate new thread there is more chance of it being answered more quickly.
Good luck and try to stay safe. Keep posting to let us know how you are.
