My husband has Alzheimer’s and I am his carer. We live in Spain. I am very worried that should anything happen to me and I can’t get to my phone for help. My husband would not be able to get help as he cannot use a phone and all doors are permanently locked when we are home.

Does anyone have any advice for me to help?

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum @Glendoe.

I'm so sorry to read about what you re facing. In UK we can arrange for alert systems - such as community alarms. I'm not sure what would be available for your in Spain. I know we have other members living abroad so hopefully someone with personal experience will be able to help. In the meantime I wondered if this organisation would be able to help -

Could the title of this thread be changed to show that the poster is asking for advice about living with dementia in Spain?

None of my family live near so we have WhatsApp group where I check in daily. If I failed to post, someone would call me to check that everything is ok.
