Activities care Worker

I would like to commence a career as Activities Leader in a care home to help Dementia sufferers. Is there a course/training I can take that can assist with this.

Try a Google for vacancies, a search on activities coordinator care home vacancy brought up several.

One typical requirement was:-

Qualifications demonstrating sound literacy & numerical skills such as GCSE’s Grades A-C in Maths and English are usually required. A Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care is also a desirable qualification for this role.

See if you can volunteer to help at a care home or day centre.
