    Hi Dx is commonly used in hospitals to refer to the process of discharge too i.e. pt (patient) is ready for dx

    tx = transfer, as in patient (pt) is able to tx indpendently
    ADLs - activities of daily living
    POC = package of care
    FFCHC = fully funded continuing health care (another variation often used in my local authority)
    ABI = Acquired Brain Injury

  4. Thanks, Jancis and Other: additions added. Pam

  5. Just spotted SU in a recent post (helpfully used in full as "Service User" before being used in abbreviated form), so added it to the list! Pam

  6. CPA now added, from Marypoppins' thread. Pam

  7. Added CCSVI after seeing it in a post today. Pam

    Agree with Jimbo. Brilliant and so useful to refer to. Can it, plus JPG's great contributions, be put somewhere permanent for easy reference please?

    Hi Pam,
    Just spotted LCP - Liverpool Care Pathway in a recent post.

  16. UPdated with LCP as suggested by Jancis and a few from DLM's recent thread - LO, CP, ALF, SNH. (Didn't include his/her suggested XYL=wife: I had to google it to find out that it's "ex-young-lady" used in Ham Radio circles! Seems a bit obscure for the TP list.) Pam

    - sorry if I am becoming a bore :)

  20. ICO added - I'd spotted it in a thread and thought I ought to find out what it was, but didn't get round to it, so thanks, Jancis!
