My wife was in a happy mood when I called to see her in the care home garden today. I did not need a test or to wear PPE as I went through the side gate rather than inside the building. That meant keeping a social distance but perhaps my being unmasked helped her to enjoy the visit. It is not normality restored but may be a step along the way.
