Hi everyone, haven't been on for ages. Mum fell on 30th December - 4th fall in a week and managed to break 2 bones in her neck. 14 weeks,3 hospitals , body harness, neck brace later they feel she is ready to leave.
Problem is she wants to go home, they are strongly advising residential home for dementia. How do I come to terms with this. Have looked at 14 homes, some have refused me to tears, others were okay and 2 were nice (ish) . There is a brand new facility with beds available so her name is down- I even got to pick which room. I feel sick at the thought and feel like I'm betraying her.
