Kevin Whateley - What an ambassador!!!

I watched this program tonight. Kevin did i think, a good insight into most aspects of how Dementia effects both sufferer and carer, in a direct attitude. And also on what should be sorted out now for the future.

Terry Pratchett – Living With Alzheimer's

I have read a lot off his books, though the last one i read i struggled with. I enjoy getting completely lost in his world of surreal places and people. I watched his programme and was not surprised that he wasn't able to highlight the awful plight of so many people and their families, as he...

    Washing and shaving..another aspect...

Dad was particular about his hygiene, and when dad started looking as if he hadn't shaved i brought him a electric shaver and encourage him to start using it on these days. I never would have felt safe trying to do a proper wet shave on him if he was unable to shave himself. Was glad of this has...
