    Dealing with delusions

I can identify with every word. Ken became 'afternoon delusional' and in fact was sectioned and admitted to hospital for assessment on the 7th October with the hope of finding a level of medication which could control his behaviour. Sadly he caught a cold on the ward which soon developed into a...

    What now?

This is an update. Two weeks along from my husband being sectioned and he is now on a medical ward suffering from pneumonia. He is 'very poorly' and his bed on the mental health ward has been withdrawn. When he was admitted he was physically fit and has obviously picked up a hospital infection...

    What now?

My husband was sectioned on Friday and is now in hospital. Life had become so difficult prior to this that I feel that he ought to move into full time care on his discharge. As we won't be self funding I believe that social services will be the ones making this decision rather than me. Does...

    Anxiety

Recently my OH has been anxiously pacing about the house constantly, in and out of every room, opening and closing the doors noisily. I have tried to talk to him and calm him but unfortunately it doesn't always work. When I asked this morning what he was anxious about he replied that it was...

    Really embarrassed to ask.....

Thanks for your support everyone. Whilst I have taken your suggestions on board I also realise that I probably have to face another stage in his illness. Thanks again. Sent from my iPad using Talking Point

    Really embarrassed to ask.....

He does go to the toilet regularly without any problem. He has an enlarged prostate and bladder problems that are monitored and dealt with three monthly. My worry is why he should decide to stand over the coffee table or in the kitchen and appear to be about to spend a penny. Sent from my iPad...

    Really embarrassed to ask.....

.....but recently my OH seems to spend a lot of his time taking his willy out and looking as though he is about to spend a penny. Fortunately I have so far managed to direct him towards the bathroom only to find that on most occasions he didn't really want to wee at all. Every time I do point it...

    Arguments.

I am struggling too with the never ending arguments. I have learnt to bite my tongue for the majority of the time and only rarely do I react, but whatever I do I am the bad person. I have just been shouted at because allegedly I ignored my OH when his electric razor needed recharging. The sad...

    Immense sense of Loneliness

Thank you everybody. Having listened to our friends planning their holidays I had been considering arranging a few days away for the two of us. You have brought me down to earth and reminded me of our last disastrous trip. Sent from my iPad using Talking Point

    It's so sad!

How lucky you all are. My husband thinks the care I give him is his right and that it is no more than I should be doing as I am a woman! These are statements he has made to a third party as well as to me and the basis of his beliefs before AZ. He resents my having to tell him what to do, however...

What do you miss the most

This weekend I will miss birthday celebrations. We both have birthdays this weekend but I'm the only one who will realise. My OH won't be making a fuss of me this year.
