Today's my birthday, and when John woke up, my heart wasn't exactly bursting with happiness - but now it is. Because his first words to me were "Happy Birthday". I'm amazed he remembered, and this was before he came into the lounge and saw the cards.

I know it's just a little thing, but it means so very much. He's off to his club soon, and then I'm being taken to lunch (my third this week ) by a friend.
