Another story raising awareness of neglect in care:

And a more local report:

".... the conclusion was “not what the family had hoped for” as they were unable to get a prosecution over Grace’s neglect.

Pauline said: “What we wanted was a court case and someone ultimately held accountable.

“I don’t believe we’ve got justice because nobody was prosecuted for the neglect mam suffered. There should be someone in the system who is accountable."

Page 2 of the more local report is interesting, because it reads:

"Pauline, who has written to the Prime Minister and health secretary Andrew Lansley, to request that where cases of neglect are proven, someone can be prosecuted, said: “Those responsible have been identified and some have accepted their shortcomings.”

She said the Prime Minister had written back saying the department was currently undertaking a full review of the current guidelines on appropriate care for vulnerable adults."

Appropriate care for vulnerable adults is all we're asking for, PM.

Not too much to ask, is it?

Or is it?
