I do hope that you feel as supported as possible through this process Elaine. Talking Point was my main source of support as my husband went through his dying process and it truly was a lifeline to me and still is.
i have been there my love. it is the most painful thing to endure. it cannot be humanly possible to feel such a mixture of fear pain and loss.
my experience - briefly was one of relief. no more mam - no more. so courageous so dignified. kiss and stroke her she will always be your beloved- always.
with love to you and yours - she is safe my love - forever safe. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxgod bless
I believe that this is known because patients would still be able to exhibit signs of distress even at this stage. Palliative care nurses are trained to recognise the signs.
It is also possible for pain relief, usually morphine, to be given.
It is a terrible time for you and you have my sincere condolences.
