Northants
Hi everyone,

My sister and I are taking part in the Great North Run for the Alzheimer's society on Oct 1st.
We've never done anything like it before, so intend to train hard over the summer. We really wanted to do it to raise as much money as possible for the society as our gran has developed severe memory problems and has just been put on medication.
If any half-marathoners have any tips please let us know and if anyone would like to sponsor us, please visit: http://www.justgiving.com/helenandkat

Many thanks
Helen

P.s. good luck to anyone else taking part, if any of you want to stay in contact that would be great!

Good luck girls!

Hi Helen and Kat,

Thank you so much for choosing to run the Great North Run for the Society. Good luck with the training. I don't envy you, training in this heat. Are you aiming for a particular finish time?

If you need any help with training remember to take a look at our training plans located at: http://www.alzheimers.org.uk/Events/running_training.htm

You'll be pleased to hear that we are hoping to have a team of over 500 in this year's Great North Run. We have already recruited nearly 400 but still need some more runner so if anyone you know, or anyone reading this post would like to run for us please do give us a call on 0870 417 0192.

Best of luck with the training and fundraising Helen and Kat!

With warmest wishes,

Claire
