Just to say hi

I've not posted for some time, so thought I'd say hi.

Mum has been in the care home for almost three and a half years now. Still hard saying bye at the end of a visit. Suppose it will always be like that. At a recent visit, for just a few seconds I swear she recognised me. She looked up and smiled and then asked if I was ok.

Haven't seen mum since monday, due to the weather. This is when I am thankful she doesn't know we haven't been to see her.
